The one issue that perplexes and eludes most people in their lives is love. Human beings need to feel loved. A Tibetan monk once said, “Love is like a feather; if you reach for it too quickly, it moves.” But yet we long for and still hope to find that special someone that we may share our lives with. We hope and pray that the Lord will send the right person into our lives, so that we might experience love in the manner God intended for men and women. And we have a desire to experience the unity and peace that goes with Him making us one. So He gives us hope in and through His Word.
Paul said in Romans 5:1-5,
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
If we allow Him to teach us, He will connect our spirits and our hearts with the right people. We have to learn patience and allow the Lord to bring about His will in and for our lives. It is one of the most difficult of life’s lessons to learn, but never lose hope. Hebrews 10:35-36 says, “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” And God who promised is faithful!
About the Author: Evangelist Cheryl L. Black is the author of When Faith Becomes Glory, A Shepherd’s Heart and Love Digs Deep. She knows she has overcome only by the blood of the Lamb and word of her testimony. It is only by His grace that she has made it through her journey of life thus far. And for this she gives God, alone, all of the praise, honor and glory!
