As a teenager in the ’50s, I was always interested in writing nonfiction. As I grew older and came to know Jesus Christ as my Savior, that desire became stronger. Throughout the years, I began writing about my first marriage and my three children. Something, however, just didn’t seem right. I came to realize it was because my first husband was not a Christian. He became a batterer, and my life was full of hurt, sorrow, and discontent. We divorced, and a few years later he died in a car crash. I soon became a born-again Christian, and my life changed for the better. My children and I moved to Florida, where my parents had moved to and bought a small motel. My faith in Christ grew continually, and He allowed me to begin writing again. I soon met my second husband, John, and we eventually married. He was the best thing that ever happened to me, except for my salvation and children. The army soon called John into service, and we traveled the world, all the time growing closer to God. Soon I began writing more and more, as our blended family became a small group of silly, fun-loving people who all loved the Lord. This book is about those silly, fun-filled adventures God took us through, always being sure to tell those people we met about Jesus Christ and His love.
