In the second part of this series, Sir Owen has left William and Isabel in the care of the Guardians of the Throne. The Guardians take Isabel and William to the Blue Mountains to hide. Isabel and William soon learn that that just because the mountains are good hiding spot does not mean they are not dangerous. While they are there, and waiting for Owen to return, the witch Serma tells them the secrets that the King kept from them. Isabel and William begin to realize that the world they live in is a much more mysterious place then they ever thought.
Not only is the world a much stranger place then Isabel thought, but she also begins to see her dead father; and she's not the only one seeing ghost.
In the meantime, Owen goes off to rescue the other princess and the Queen. Will he be able to get them all to safety? Will he get to the Queen in time?
