As Guyana marks the 50th Anniversary of its Independence on 26 May 2016, its Ministry of Foreign Affairs has produced an essay on Guyana's engagement with the world - in two Parts. First, the highlights of its regional and international encounters in the earliest years of Independence; and secondly, the predatory challenges it has faced on its borders, particularly from Venezuela.
