This is the second book in the mystery series of Hanna Rae O’Brien.

Hanna Rae is thirteen and lives with her Mother and two brothers Samuel and JC. Next year she’ll be going into jr. high. A part-time job at the pawnshop downstairs gives her some excitement.

A rare mask was stolen from the pawnshop leaving very few clues. The drive is on for Hanna Rae to solve the mystery before her mother decides it could be dangerous working there. Hanna Rae will retrace her steps after first seeing the mask. The rare mask could be valuable. How many people could have known it was there? Hanna Rae gets things moving by questioning likely suspects.

Sara on the other hand has her mind on jr. high and boyfriends. A new hairstyle and color should get some attention. Wade and his son, Evan, move into the area. They definitely stir things up. Hanna Rae doesn’t take well to either one of them.

Enya leaves town right after the mask disappears. What’s with that? Hanna Rae steps on more than a few toes questioning her suspects. Her dreams filter the information around in her mind. People are not always who they seem to be.
