Two unique things about that ride; nobody had ever done it, and Mike didn't intend to do it when he went to Vietnam, either. But he felt an obligation that millions of others would have felt the same, and with a lot of faith, he took the opportunities to fulfill it.

In 2008, Mike Rinowski went to Vietnam for his first time; to have a Harley Davidson there was as unexpected as his job offer. When he met other riders, they told him "nobody rides alone around here." But the lack of a partner never stopped him. Between jobs, his joy rides out of Hanoi and Nha Trang turned into a quest that rolled into a journey. His free-spirited nature led him across a land that was once a battleground, now a land of beauty and welcome--and his faith guided him to a ride with a playful vengeance. He then crossed America with his Harley, and his journey ended with a joy ride through Canada four and a half years later. Not bad for an unexpected road trip!
