Danni Foster's partner, and the mother to their child is dying of cancer. Grace the home health nurse is there to take care of Amy and make her as comfortable as possible. When Amy dies, Danni's world shatters apart and she vows to never fall in love again. But things change in one night of anguish as Danni takes her grief out on Grace in the bedroom.

After that night, Danni is even more grief stricken and pushes Grace away. A year later she runs into Grace again and things have changed.
