In the original novel, Home of the Red Fox, multi-billionaire Walker provided a refuge at Maison du Renard Rouge for many abused, abandoned, or simply forgotten elderly men and women.

When the bones of a murdered child were found underneath his mansion, Walker swore he would honor her in some way. Because of that promise, he added a modern orphanage, Hannah Edgeworth’s Home for Found Children, on his estate. This sequel tells the sad and often cruel histories of some youngsters who find their way to the safety of Hannah’s Home.

Meanwhile, those adults living at Walker’s ancient mansion must contend with a terrifying kidnapping connected to sadistic murders from the past. There are also some lighter moments including a silly yet heartfelt proposal. Since no home for children is complete without animals, included are some adventures of a gray dog named Valentine and Savannah, a Paso Fino.
