Andrew Lang was a Scottish prolific author, mostly known as the collector of folk and fairy tales. “How Isuro the Rabbit Tricked Gudu” is a fairy tale entered in “The Orange Fairy Book”, that was published in 1906. In a hot country, where the forests are very thick and dark, and the rivers are swift and strong, there a strange pair of friends lives. Now one of the friends is a big white rabbit named Isuro, and the other is a tall baboon called Gudu. One day they start a long journey to visit Gudu’s betrothed, and after a short time Isuro discovers, that Gudu cheats: the greedy baboon deceives the naive rabbit and under false pretences takes the better fruits and eats off Isuro. But soon the rabbit will find the way to punish the gluttonous baboon and trick Gudu. Read the tale to know how will the story end!
