Paul wrote to Philemon, "Refresh my heart in Christ." In the same way, I trust you benefit from reading this, no matter what you do or where you live. Vocational ministry, including part or full-time youth ministry, can be spiritually dangerous work. Ironically, you can easily grow stale handling the Bible and ministering to people all the time. You'll read of failures and tears, but lessons learned. It is my hope and prayer that amongst these few pages you will derive some solid principles and invigorating spiritual water to help keep your heart and soul fresh.

This book, previously published under the title 'How to Look After Your Own Soul', contains around 8,000 words of advice and personal ministry stories from nearly a dozen veteran youth workers from around the world. Many of them are still in youth ministry. The books are part of a series of topics addressed by the same youth workers in the five-star compilation 'Youth Ministry Across the Continents' which is available in e-book and paperback formats.
