Human Origin and Lineage: Surviving Environmental Challenges and Human Conflicts

This book traces the origin of mankind from about 120,000 years ago. It describes the various theories that had been developed, and highlights the two major technological breakthroughs that have enabled very significant advances to be made in the study of the origin of humans and human lineages. The migrations out of Africa and the subsequent spread of the human species to all corners of the Earth was discussed, as well as how Asians and Europeans diverged from the same stock several tens of thousands of years ago. The relationships between the Chinese, the Japanese, the Koreans, the Southeast Asians and others as derived from genomic studies as well as language studies was also discussed. Finally, the book outlines the formidable challenges facing mankind, various possible future scenarios and the choices that mankind has to make now to survive as a species.
