I'm Coming Down Front Street addresses the ills and foolishness that resides in the hearts of many who live in deteriorating neighborhoods in an inner city. While primarily written about the City of Detroit, much of what is said applies to any community where people do not think too highly of themselves or allow their circumstances to define them.

Sometimes, only the ugly truth about a situation can be enough to change a situation for the better. When some say ignorance is bliss--they may be right, but after reading this rallying cry, no one should be able to claim ignorance and they should get off their butts and get their life back in gear--moving forward, not in reverse.

Living in an impoverished neighborhood is no excuse for people to live like idiots and raise their children like they were never really wanted. When a neighborhood is dying because the people living in it are killing it, someone has to be bold enough, to speak up and be straight up without a chaser, exposing all the dumb stuff that exists in "da hood."
