The present book deals with technological impact on productivity of major crops during pre-technological and post-technological period of implementation of NARP programmes in the State. It has three major objectives: first, to find out technological impact on use of crucial inputs and productivity of major crops in different agro climatic zones, second, to examine the changes in resource use efficiency and determine the optimum use levels in crop production over a period of time, third, to find out the share of the technology in the productivity of crops and to asses the economic sustainability of crop production technology over a period of time. The bulk of this book is devoted to examination of contribution of technology in the increased productivity of crops. Use of empirical methods and simple but effective methodology bring out the sustainability of the technology in sharp focus. This book will be great use to students, economists, policy makers, researchers and to all those who are interested in agriculture development, particularly in developing countries.
