In Chains

This is a heartbreaking story of Lucy. She believed that she could break the jinx on her family when they were plunged into abject poverty. She then left for the city and fortunately got a job at a hospital where she later fell in love with Steve. She cohabited with him and became pregnant before he could perform the marriage rites. As a result of breaking with tradition, Lucy lost her baby and died unsung in the operating theatre.
