Have you ever seen a butterfly and wondered to yourself, where is it going? Well, I have heard that there is a beautiful garden and in that garden lives a royal family of butterflies that eat special fruit from a tree called the Blessing Tree that God has made just for them.

In this story, you will journey through the butterfly kingdom and see how the royal family of butterflies travels throughout the garden, helping others they meet along the way. The inspiration for writing this book comes from scripture verse, Galatians 5:22–23, which is the fruit of the spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The royal family knows that God has given this special fruit to them so that they can be an example to others to follow God’s ways and to help others that live in the garden to do the same.

In this story, Prince Joey, who is the son of King Monarch and Queen Alexandra, finds a little butterfly that is sad, lonely, and afraid. Prince Joey, who has eaten the special fruit and is filled with love, helps his little friend, Nicholas. The storyline’s primary focus centers on adoption and the loss of a loved one. It is written in a lighthearted manner to help children understand this situation and to deal with it in a healthy, positive manner, and more importantly, from a Godly perspective. This book is geared toward the targeted age of preschool and elementary-age children. The main character, Prince Joey, who is featured in this story, is named after the author’s grandson Joey, and she has personalized the butterfly to reflect him and the love that she sees inside him. If we sow seeds of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, we will always produce good fruit.
