Frankly speaking, there is a need of true art in Indian Writing in English (IWE) and its criticism - rich both in tradition and modernity. As T.S Eliot would have us believe, although in the broader context of world literature's, the writers and critics in IWE need to write not merely with his own generations in his bones but with a historical sense not only of the pastiness of the past but of its presence.
