The Destiny Trilogy is an epic story and a cautionary tale of the future. It is a science fiction story, but tries to be as realistic as possible except for the science fiction elements. It is a dramatization of the kind of world we may be living in if humanity continues on its present course.
Volume 1 of this trilogy takes place twenty five years in the future, at a time our world is increasingly restless and unsettled. Eleven intrepid explorers from many nations conduct the first crewed mission to the planet Mars. Their story is published and is available for reading.
Volume 2 of this trilogy has been delayed due to the necessity for more research and to resolve technical problems with the story line. However, all essential elements of this story are revealed in the third and final volume.
Volume 3 entitled Interstellar Exploration Incorporated tells the story of some amazing children who have the task of saving a portion of humanity by bringing them to the stars. The herculean task requires developing the physics for a faster than light propulsion system due to the vast distances between the earth and the stars. Even more daunting is the task of building a space vehicle that can actually accomplish the task, and selecting worthy people to come along on the voyage.
The story begins with the progeny as young children, progresses through their training and education, and continues with them as young adults trying to make this historic achievement possible. By this time, corruption in corporations and in government has gotten extreme. The political campaign finance system has reached the epitome of its power, denying anyone but the top one tenth of one percent any political influence, or indeed, any access at all. This landscape makes an extremely difficult task almost impossible. Yet our young heroes try valiantly to make the project succeed as they reach for the stars.
