Keziah lost her husband when she was pregnant with their second son. A workaholic and strong, independent leader whose religion is her work, she finds herself at the local stream at an unholy hour of the night. She survives a raging wave, and this close call leads her to redefine her values.

Caroline and her husband Onyema were once successful business tycoons, but they went bankrupt and returned to their hometown. She forms a business alliance with someone who promises to help her family thrive again.

When Caroline becomes pregnant and is threatened with death, she needs help—but only Joe, Keziah’s son, can understand what she is going through. Joe’s spiritual agenda is to subdue all the evil spirits in town. He’s a hardworking and intelligent young man who has the faith to move mountains.
