Kevin Adams is a sociopath loner. He spends his life dreaming about a perfectly normal life, having a blonde barbie wife and two perfect, blonde children. He leaves his bar job early one night and offers a lift to three young women. He falls in love at first sight with one of the women, immediately planning to take her to his apartment.
Being socially inept, he makes a dismal attempt to seduce one of the trio,Karma-Jane Jennings. She rejects him and he experiences a cold rage. His basic and barbaric instincts take over in a surge of hormonal anger.
Adams suffers lack of judgement and commits one too many errors, with the result that he 'has to' eliminate Karma-Jane.
While in the act of strangling her, he discovers a sexual thrill that drives him onward to become a serious and violent, predatory psychopath.
Feraful of arrest, he leaves his apartment and tries to eliminate all trace of himself by wiping down his room with bleach.
He flees to the countryside while trying to formulate a permanent evasion strategy. Despite his best efforts, his inner demon surfaces and he takes another victim. And another. And another two.
Adams suffers a motorcycle accident and wakes up in hospital under armed guard. He is sentenced to incarceration.
While being interviewed and assessed by a clinical psychologist, Adams confesses some of his previous murders to Dr Cooper, hoping for some type of leniency, which he doesn't achieve.
Lt Moore and his partner take Adams to the scene of a crime, to point out where he dumped a body.
En route, the trio are embroiled in a cash-in-transit heist. A shootout follows and Adams gains his freedom.
While on the run and trying to start afresh, he again makes serious errors of judgement and takes more victims.
One man is on his trail. Instinctively, Adams
feels the presence of Lt Moore getting closer and closer as he plans to kill one woman in particular, the pert and pretty blonde with whom he wanted to create his perfect life.
But she took him for a fool and it's payback time. Or is it?
