Our central character, Liam Parry, encounters who he believes is the first love of his life, whilst still in the 6th form at a Liverpool Secondary School. The object of his affections, Angela Hughes, is a visiting Student Teacher. She is not much older than Liam, but such a union is not possible under the circumstances and Angela is unaware of Liams crush. Each goes their separate ways after the initial encounter.
