John Ensign's Extramarital Mistress in Sin City was published on the Fourth of July 2009. I had finished Selling Sex with Sarah Palin. The John Ensign book was at my health club. Literally, written as I worked out with John Ensign in the same locker room. But Ensign didn’t acknowledge my book until he walked in after a bike ride and met me in the coffee lounge on Halloween, October 31, 2010. Halloween is a big deal in Las Vegas. I think he was in the costume mood to be generous. We talked, he spoke about my screenplay, and leaned over to autograph the book I had written about him. My cell phone was hacked before I had to file a police report downtown. The body builders at the gym and the managers attacked me, threatened to keep my son in the day care, and refused to let me leave the office with my wife who was exercising outside in the aerobics area. It was obvious that I had upset someone, because I called the police. When the police came, the managers ran outside and told them to leave. This was illegal, but the police did what the managers told them. John Ensign lived close by. I went to Downtown Las Vegas to the Mayor’s office at 400 Stewart Street and met with officers for two hours at the police station to file a formal police complaint on the record. The heat was over a hundred and ten degrees. I was ill, my wife and son sick, the administrators at the gym had threatened me and called off the police who did very little. The greater error was going to the wrong newspaper. I know publishers from New York City to Hollywood. Editors told me to go to the conservative newspaper to make a complaint about John Ensign. They said the newspaper would be fair. John Ensign’s father owned one of the largest casinos in Nevada. He wanted to make John Ensign President of the United States of America. I wrote the first book on John Ensign. At the time I write these words, I have written the only book on John Ensign. The Senator controlled Las Vegas media, news, and AT&T still can’t figure who hacked into my phone line, but the company can trace the hacker to Phoenix, Arizona, six hours or 300 miles from my front door.

John Ensign spoke to every person in the room while entering the Las Vegas gym, approaching the juice bar, Ensign spoke about fruit drinks. Charming John Ensign was personable and voters knew he was powerful as well as rich. His father owned Mandalay Bay. I knew it as the Hacienda Casino when my father brought me to town. Joined by the Five Star resort, Four Seasons, the casinos is connected to Luxor Casino and Excalibur. Many of the magazine conventions were held at Mandalay. Publishers knew I was in Las Vegas, so they asked me to interview at the hotel. The resort has a beautiful saltwater reef aquarium for families entertaining children in Vegas. John’s father gave John’s mistress money in the form of a bank check after the affair led to a Washington DC sex scandal big enough to bring down the Nevada Senator. The check became seen by Congressional investigators as the burden of proof. Follow the money. The trail walks up to the face behind the conspiracy. John Ensign’s life was at the other end of the bank check. His political career lay exposed.
