Lauren Conrad is a fashion designer, television personality and author. She appeared on and narrated the hit MTV reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, which followed the lives of several affluent teens in the Laguna Beach community.
She remained on the show for two seasons before MTV gave Conrad her own spinoff series, The Hills, which documented Conrad's life post high school, including her attendance of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and her internship with Teen Vogue. The show also focused on Conrad's relationships, mostly with her longtime friend and fellow television personality Heidi Montag. Conrad stayed with The Hills before leaving in the middle of the fifth season.
