Everyone begins their life on an innocent search for truth. Some people find it, or so they think. But do we ever, really find it?
“The older I get the less time I have for certainty,” writes Les Avery. “Now at 85, truth seems less certain.” In his book, Less Certain Now, Avery chronicles the pain of raising a wayward son and the loss of his beloved wife Jackie. The experiences taught him to accept new realities – even those that contradict what once seemed concrete. This book reveals his search for truth, and the unlikely places he discovered it.
If you’re on a quest for truth or you struggle with theology or you wrestle with matters of faith, then you’ll want to read Less Certain Now.
Les Avery graduated from Denver Seminary in 1957 and pastored Denver area churches for the next 40 years. Since retiring he has become an avid bicyclist, riding over 100,000 miles and listening to hundreds of talking books while riding the 800 miles of bike trails in and around Denver. Les and his now-deceased wife Jackie have six children, 14 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
