Let’s Go On A Ride

Green series

Zoggy Zero is a series of booklets, in 7 levels, one for each colour of the rainbow, aimed to help young children gain first spelling skills.

Using a multi sensory approach, the ‘Zoggy Zero’ series teaches children to sound out words using phonics. First, the child learns how to make c-a-t into cat and then longer words, like hundred.

Secondly, the child learns those sounds for which we use 2 or more letters ‘sh’ as in ship or wish and ‘aw’ as In crawl. The child uses a multi sensory approach. They look at the letters in the shape, they sound out the word with their voice and then hear it with their ears. They then write it with their fingers.

Our fun character, Zoggy, from Planet Zen in a faraway universe, is featured in our ‘Mission Spelling’ books 1-4. With his super alien brain powered by advanced technology, he goes on a series of adventures helping children practise each introduced sound.
