Three people from three different parts of the world are dealt the same acid. When consumed, the acid sends them into an alternate universe that they must save. Upon entering this new world, they quickly realize it’s not safe. They are informed the only safe place for humans is the castle. If they don’t reach the castle quickly, the mythological creatures will kill them. But luckily for Sue she enters the world already in the castle. And unluckily for Biesel and Seth, they enter the world miles from the castle. Biesel enters the world in a giants cave, while Seth, enters the world in a forest.
Both journey through numerous different biomes while trying to survive and obtain answers to their questions. They eventually reach the castle, and discover there are other humans there. The humans plan to take back the land from the creatures. The other creatures hear word of this, and a huge fight takes place. The humans come out on top, and Sue, Biesel, and Seth have fulfilled their purpose. They leave the trip and resume their normal, boring, and ordinary lives.
