He watched her out of the corner of his eye as she slid into the room. He had seen her here before, but this time was different. Her skirt was just a little bit shorter than normal and she had an air about her that showed she was looking for something. Her perfume traveled quickly across the crowded room and he breathed it in deeply.
He had been watching her for weeks, and he could anticipate her every move. She smiled at the bartender and slowly slipped from the pink concoction that had been placed in front of her. His was not the only eye that she had caught tonight and he knew that he would need to move quickly if he was going to make her his own.
Quickly, he took a swig from the beer that he held in his hand and claimed the seat beside her. She was forced to turn her chair slightly as he sat down and for a moment their eyes met causing the world to stop spinning for him for just a moment. She noticed his hesitation and smiled.
“Hi, I’m Sara,” she said. “I think I’ve seen you here before, haven’t I?”
He nodded and swallowed, “Yeah, I’m here just about every week. My name’s John. I’ve seen you too.”
She took another drink and eyed him curiously, leaning towards him slightly.
“Well, John. You are going to get us another drink, or what?”
John smiled and motioned to the bartender. Sara finished her drink as she rubbed her leg against his seductively.
“I plan to drink a lot tonight, John. Can you take care of me?”
