After sending a communication to Colonel Morgan implicating herself as a spy, she is picked up by his soldiers and questioned. That is when she informs him of the danger he faces with an informant apparently close to him.
This poignant novel follows the two Patriots to a gripping climax when Sophia is discovered as a spy and Colonel Morgan and his men are lured into a British trap. There would be no quarter for either of them—or any of them. They wouldn’t be fighting to hold ground, but to survive. Safety lay in victory alone.
