When Anneke Horvath Barrow from Long Island, nose-dives into a puddle of water on a cobble stoned sidewalk in a quaint little town in Hungary, she is saved by Dean O’Connor from Canada, who lithely lifts her to her feet. Mortally embarrassed, instead of thanking him, she tells him to get lost. He doesn't shy away and the mishap develops into a sizzling relationship. For the first few days anyway. Right up until she learns the truth. He's a big-time all for profit shameless developer and she is a fierce environmentalist. And he's planning to destroy her precious villa on the hill, complete with hobby vineyards and cellars. The loving sparks between them turn nasty. Engrossed in saving her home and hilltop, she discovers that the mayor had taken bribes to issue the developer’s re-zoning. Added to this, she finds that her wine cellar is being used by the same mayor a.k.a. drug dealer for his business.Ignoring all advice to leave things to the authorities, Anneke is determined to set things right getting herself deeper into hilarious predicaments.
