Hannah was in trouble and her best friend Beverly was going to do anything she could to help her. It had been over two months since she last contacted Beverly after leaving for Ohio to find work as a breeder. No emails, no phone calls, nothing. It was like she had disappeared off the face of the earth. Hannah wasn’t like that, she was faithful to her friends and would never intentionally do anything that might make them worry. It wasn’t in her nature and Beverly would know, they had known one another for ages. Something must have been wrong…

It had to do with one of those people farms Hannah was so interested in working for, it must have. Beverly knew all about them. She had read the articles, she had watched the documentaries. Those places could be as shady as they come and if you weren’t careful, you could end up on the bad end of a deal with only one way to pay it off: your body. Beverly couldn’t bare the thought of someone she cared about so much being used like that. It was too much.

Now, with the help of a private investigator by the name of Hector Rios, Beverly is following the few leads Hannah has left behind. It won’t be easy tracking the young woman down and Beverly may have to resort to the unthinkable in order to find her.
