A nature journal should be a playful, helpful, adventurous, extension of yourself. A sandpit for exploring your responses to the world. This little guidebook shows you how to get started with nature journaling and keep going with this fun and rewarding activity.

Paula Peeters started teaching Nature Journaling workshops in Australia in 2016. She wanted to create a humble little book, small enough to slip into a backpack, and light enough to take on walks, to spread the word about nature journaling. Paula also needed to make some class notes for workshops that she runs, and something that participants could take home with them after the session. The result is 'Make a Date with Nature', first published in July 2016 and already reprinted three times. It combines Paula's thoughts on nature journaling, and inspirations from other practitioners: what nature journaling is, why you should do it, how to get started and how to keep it going. 'Make a Date with Nature' is illustrated throughout with drawings from Paula's own nature journals. This little book is simple, encouraging and inspiring. It is the perfect entry point for those who are interested in nature journaling, but don't think they can draw or write.

The ebook version of this first edition of 'Make a Date with Nature' is free. Look out for the revised and expanded second edition coming out in 2019.
