This is a story about the life of a country girl who unravels in cursive prose and poetry during the last decade of her life. As memories whirled in her mind, she sat complacently in her favorite chair, rocking and embroidering. Then she stopped rocking, put the embroidery down, and reached for a pencil and paper.
