Micah was a prophet who lived in a time when God's people were living in relative prosperity and ease. Their prosperity, however, was causing them to lose sight of their walk with God. He prophesied of a day of great blessing, not from political leaders but from One who would be born in Bethlehem yet whose beginnings were from eternity past.

Nahum spoke to the Assyrian nation who was at its height of power in his days. He describes in great poetic detail the battle that would bring their nation to an end.

Habakkuk lived in a day when Babylon was oppressing his nation. He questioned God about the cruelty of these Babylonians toward His poeple. God reminded Him that despite what he was seeing around him, He was a sovereign God who remained in control. God's people were to live by faith and trust Him in what He was doing in their midst.

Though often forgotten, these books still are relevant for our day. Each chapter is concluded with some questions for consideration and points for prayer to help you apply the age old truth to your present reality.
