I remember clearly, where I was on that unfaithful day, I was at the roof of our building in Manhattan fixing some lens turbine wind generators, suddenly the immense light filled the sky, and luckily I was wearing my goggles.
I only saw the light lit up the sky for few seconds, thru reflection from a black glass on the water heater conduit. If I were to look at it directly, I would have lost my retina instantly from intense light. Do not ever look at the white light especially if the explosion happens nearby, unlike here.  Open your mouth so that the pressure won’t affect you as much. Sirens started going off.
If this wasn't as far as New Jersey.., it was the NATO headquarters got hit about 8 miles away from here. I should have duck and cover but again it is not near. Some dusty objects might still fall from the impact even so far away but at least there will be no debris to worry about falling on my head.
