Here is a collection of poems by Acie Cargill and a few friends. The poems deal with love in the modern world. It is difficult to find true love and even more difficult to maintain it.
Computer mediated love, same sex love, gender neutral love, old loves, new loves, married love, incest, misanthropy, misogyny, polygamy, swingers, outright cheating, stalking, young love, senior love, avoidance of love, depression, understanding sexuality, and sexual promiscuity. These are a few of the topics covered in this book.
It is hard to imagine a general subject that has inspired more poems, music, and art. Love is our great inspiration and possibly our destructor. Love is universal throughout the world and throughout time. It is expressed differently in different cultures and periods, but the underlying emotion is similar.
This book is my impression of Modern Love. ‘No one is an expert. We all understand, or try to understand, our own narrow outlook. I have tried here to express my limited fantasies and experiences.
