Morris "Dimples" Wolensky was an associate of Murder, Inc. founder Louis Lepke Buchalter. Murder, Inc. was a murder for hire operation that flourished in Brownsville, Brooklyn in the 1930s and 1940s. Buchalter did much to build the national crime syndicate. Wolensky duped Buchalter into thinking that he wouldn't be prosecuted for a 1936 murder if he decided to give himself up to authorities in front of a Manhattan hotel in August 1939. Instead he was nailed on the earlier homicide charge and was electrocuted at Sing Sing in 1944. Wolensky had a habit of double crossing associates. This would eventually lead to his death.
