Thousands of years after James had died, the world is finally in a peaceful state of unity, with an electronic over-watching security computer system. This is the sort of world we find our new hero. Satay, a late teen boy, from one of Australia's floating cities, known as Marblegold 7268, grows up admiring the history of James. But it is only when he goes back to try to meet James, and has difficulty even getting close to him, that he finds out how interesting, and difficult it was for him. Satay goes from trying to meet his idol, to preventing his death and helping to create the world that people know and love, six thousand three hundred and forty-one years later.
