“My Africa” is a story of Waro and his son, Ade who was born into an African royal family setting. Ade survived on the day of his birth by a mere chance and he was growing up to see many wrong beliefs of his people. After much struggles with his kinsmen and community, he finally fulfilled his dream of travelling abroad. There he found the life so interesting but out of his love for his people, he has to come home so as to show them the way. This was a hard decision for him because of the risk of losing new friends and great opportunities coming his way. The novel portrays the rich African culture and what was going on in the ancient Africa. Many are still in practice today as some people hold on to the beliefs.
