Dakota Jones is obsessed with England and English men. Living in New York, she longs to go to the UK and find herself a handsome guy to sweep her off her feet, and in the process, maybe locate her dead father’s relatives, who live in an unknown place called ‘Islington’.
Bored of being single, living in her mother’s basement and working for an insurance broker, she accepts her friend Holly’s invitation to come to London. Holly is a production accountant for a movie company and gets Dakota a job working as PA to Lucien Masters, director of new spy film ‘Changing Lanes’. Dakota remembers Lucien as playing Ivanhoe on the TV, when she was a kid; but she is more excited about meeting the star of the film – Connor Cleary, the sexy Irish actor with a wild reputation.
Dakota comes to England and finds it’s not quite how she imagined. And neither is Connor Cleary. To her amazement, she finds herself drawn to Lucien, realising his cool exterior hides a sexy and passionate man. They fall for each other, and start a passionate affair, and Dakota discovers that Englishmen are something else when it comes to sex. But Lucien is hiding a secret which could put an end to Dakota’s happiness and have her running back to New York. And just when she thinks life couldn’t get any more difficult, Connor Cleary starts showing an interest in her….
