Best Historical Romantic Adventure nominee - Romantic Times
41/2 Stars "My Seaswept Heart is a refreshing, original, not-to-be-missed read! Christine Dorsey skillfully whets the reader's apetite for the final novel in her MacQuaid Brothers Trilopgy" - Romantic Times

Anne Cornwall journeyed with a daring band of colonists to seek a Utopian life style on the remote island of Libertia. But the ideals of their colony are tested when the infamous French pirate, d'Porteau ravaged the island, stealing Anne's small fortune, and vowing to return. Anne, a take charge woman, decides the way to fight fire is with fire. She needs a hero, a man of lost causes, and seeks out the rugged Scottish pirate Jamie MacQuaid. His initial rejection of her plea only strengthens Anne's resolve. She kidnaps him and takes him to her island. When Jamie still refuses to help, she offers him her jewels. Not trusting Captain MacQuaid and not being in possession of her jewels, Anne stows away as a cabin boy when MacQuaid goes after d'Porteau. But it is Jamie's ship that is captured, and Anne becomes Jamie's one man crew when the Frenchman sets them adrift on a small boat. Does a dolphin help them find safe haven on a deserted island? The dreamer Jamie thinks so. Anne is not as convinced. But she can not resist Jamie. Their romantic interlude on the island is cut short when Jamie's crew finds them. Besides there are blood-thirsty pirates to take revenge upon and colonies to save. And in the end there is a decision for Jamie to make. He must choose between his buchaneering ways and defending what he knows is right...even if it is a lost cause.
