No One's Trophy

In this sequel to 'Don't Go In the Water', the small town of Tredecim seems to get even more mysterious . . . and deadly. No one has drowned since Jack's best friend, Cyan, spilled all his dirty secrets and was captured by the MBs. While the rest of the town now assumes the lake is safe, Cyan spends every day trapped in a cage, at the mercy of cruel and demeaning experiments -. The MBs only want one thing: to forcibly tear every secret they can from the dying merman. Meanwhile, Reece is trapped at her real parents' house, hours away, unable to do anything but watch everything fall apart. Jack wants his best friend back. And, as it all turns out, helping him escape isn't the hardest part. The moment Cyan escapes from the lab, people start dying again. Only, this time, the victims are a bit different. Instead of toddlers and elementary schoolers, teenagers and . . . MBs are dying. Reece returns only to figure out that her initial theory, the one that alerted everyone that thirteen people drowned every year . . . is wrong.
