Sometimes not all attention is good.
After recovering from her life threatening stint as Eleanor Channing’s assistant, Trudie Eyre decided to step back from Hollywood celebrities and work with acclaimed author and scriptwriter Adele Wesson.
Unlike most of her clients, Adele is a joy to work with. She would be in heaven if it wasn’t for Adele’s husband Eric. Eric Wesson has not met a women who doesn’t fall for him and he does not like that Trudie is more interested in his wife’s latest bestseller than she is in him.
When Eric ends up dead it is up to Trudie to organize his funeral. This means hunting through Eric’s past looking for family, or at least someone who will mourn the passing of a man most people thought of as an amoral gold digger.
During her search Trudie finds that Eric Wesson was both more of a good man than she expected and also a worse man than she thought.
