Not to the Swift

This is the story of people who lived in the hill country of northeastern Kentucky during the 30s and 40s and beyond. It begins with and primarily concerns the lives of three grade school children: the insecure Callie, ridiculed because she is different, and her desperate search for love, the lovely Louanna who becomes a young bride and struggles against odds to make a better life for herself and her small daughter, and the rambunctious willful Reba, who lives by her own rules and whose life is touched with tragedy. How their lives unfold and sometimes intertwine weave a tapestry of drama that will keep the reader turning pages until the end of the final chapter.
