.About the book

 Now Listen To This

A work of fiction, Now Listen To This is a satire about the fictional week-long adventure the author spent at the Hargeisa Group Hospital and the funny, and somewhat, odd events he experienced. The story highlights the day-to-day events of a busy, poor facility: the painful account of patients, doctors and staff. It is a tug of war between Dr. Shermarke and a young mute patient for the hand and heart of the beautiful Dr. Luul and the spark of fire that follows. It is about Aw Kediye  - a traditional healer who is struggling to get somewhere and be part of the medical system and the challenges he faces.

Now Listen To This is about a bunch of misfits who squat on Ward IV and play genuine patients by using phony gips, crutches and peglegs, to prolong their stay and turn the place into a bee-hive of activities that give the administration plenty of headache. They do not only make it home, but a stronghold to illicit  illegal trade Like the Payment Ward, where the elite and super-rich are super-charged, here the underclass is under-charged and it reflects the contrast lifestyles of certain groups of society  In short, it  is about  the out-going chief doctor and a young man, who takes over the  facility and is determined to kick some ass and throw out the people who slowly occupied his hospital .
