This book is meant to inspire the storyteller within the reader. The pages are filled with observations and experiences that the author has had. After each chapter she gives readers examples that will help them understand how they can unleash the storyteller within themselves

Colleen was taught the art of Storytelling from her parents at an early age. She considers her parents Master Storytellers, who provided her with journals that were filled with experiences during her growing up years. In this book the writer shares some of her experiences and observations from her younger years, as well as those from adulthood.

There is a wealth of experiences everyone encounters in life. Through looking at the past, it is hoped that the reader is able to revisit their experiences and put them in perspective. This means any anger or hurt experienced in the past doesn’t color their present experiences.

We are all influenced by the experiences we have. Some of those experiences are more important than others. They may leave a deeper impression on us. Some teach us valuable lessons. Hopefully, most of the experiences that have happened left good memories.

Some of the chapters in this book, are taken from the ups and downs in Colleen’s life as she moved into adulthood. She hopes the reader will identify with them, learn from them, and appreciate them.

The various chapters have thoughts at the end, which allows the readers to reflect upon their own experiences. Comments are made and questions are asked to help the reader identify with them. Eventually the reader will understand how to free the storyteller within themselves. It is hoped that when the reader has given freedom to the storyteller within themselves, they will eventually share their experiences with others.

Hopefully, by end of the book the reader will understand how to share their own stories and experiences with others. It is an excellent venue for the reader to gain an understanding of themselves, and realize how their experiences contributed to the person they are now.

As you reflect upon what the author has revealed, it is important for the reader to realize that sometimes a bad experience may be the one that strengthens the individual. Just as each experience has a different impact on a person, and the life they lead, so it is with the author. So it is with the reader.

Often a person doesn’t become a master storyteller until something turns the light on. May this be the light that turns on the storyteller within you, and lead to your sharing experiences with others.
