Undertaker, Theodore Drake, becomes an unwitting pawn in the affairs of Oceanear when he is called to Crescent manor to arrange the burial of thief taker and magistrate, William Peter Rush.
After discussing the details of his funeral with William's daughter, Sarah, Theodore returns home to find his world torn apart by an unexpected guest.
