The Bible says that, during Jesus' ministry on earth, "many of His disciples turned away and did not follow Him anymore (John 6:66)." Jesus never said that any of those one-time disciples who stopped following Him were guaranteed eternal salvation and had a secure place in heaven reserved for them.
