Twenty-eight year old Abbie Davis is still a virgin, hopelessly waiting for a prince to come riding in on a white horse and whisk her away into the sunset.

A near death experience convinces her that she's been a fool, waiting for something that's never going to happen. Finally she realizes that it's time to grow up and stop putting her life on hold for a stupid fantasy.

But Abbie doesn't want to give her virginity to any random dude; she wants to find a decent guy, even if he isn't a prince. Abbie and her best friend Caitlin launch "Operation: Cherry Pop" and set out on a mission to find the right man for the job.

He's right under her nose, but will she have the guts to go through with it? And will she lose him when he realizes what she's done?

Excerpt:

As I started to walk around to the passenger side of his car, he followed and grabbed my hand to turn me toward him. “Was it just me, or did we have a moment in there?” He nodded his head back toward the café.

I exhaled with relief and said, “It wasn’t just you.”

His eyes dropped to my lips again, and this time there was no doubt in my mind. He was thinking about kissing me. I could feel a flush creeping up my face again and I was tempted to lower my head so he wouldn’t see it, but before I could he brought his hands to my face and leaned in, slowly, as if giving me the opportunity to back away.

Even if I had wanted to back away, I couldn’t. My feet were rooted to the pavement. My heart started hammering and suddenly I couldn’t breathe. I watched his face come closer and closer, and I caught a whiff of that amazing cologne he was wearing, making my head swim. And then his lips were on mine, softly, gently, teasing and tasting me.

My stuck breath let go with a heavy exhale as I lost myself in the sensation of being closer to him than I’d ever been to any man before. I didn’t have to focus on kissing him back. My mouth seemed to know exactly what to do, so I relaxed and let it.

His hands slid around my waist and up my back, softly caressing me, sending waves of goose bumps flowing all over my body. I felt a soft sensation on my fingers, and realized with a start that I’d wrapped my arms around his neck and I was running my fingers through his hair. When did that happen?

He didn’t seem to mind, pulling me closer against his body and deepening the kiss. His tongue darted softly into my mouth, caressing my tongue, sliding out to taste my lips now and again. I was practically panting by this point, my body flooding with so many new sensations that I didn’t know what to think. In fact, it seemed that the only part of my body that wasn’t tingling and alert was my brain. It had taken a back seat, probably only doing enough to keep my heart beating. The rest of me was being controlled by my hormones. And it felt so damn good.
