Written in English and Spanish, this bilingual book is a great for Spanish speakers learning English or English Speakers learning Spanish.

Oscar was a little boy with a big problem. His beautiful village, where his family lived for centuries, had been taken over by strangers. Everywhere he looked, Oscar found odd people with unusual outfits, customs, and behaviors. He did not like these people at all and feared what would happen if they stayed. Then his father took him on a journey to visit other lands and people—in the big city, in the mountains, and at the seaside. Oscar found friendly, kind people wherever he went. By meeting people, learning about cultures, and being kind, Oscar learned that there are no strangers, only friends we have not yet met.

~~~
Oscar era un pequeño niño con un gran problema. Su pueblo, muy tradicional, estaba siendo invadido por afuerinos; gente que lucía diferente, parecía diferente y actuaba diferente. Oscar le temía a estos extraños y quería que ellos abandonaran su pueblo donde solamente vivía gente especial.  Oscar creía que su familia era valorada porque sus ancestros habían vivido en el mismo pueblo por centurias, pero viajando y conociendo gente aprendió que no hay desconocidos, solo amigos que aún no has conocido.
