In Over the Hills, Peter Steele recounts the story of his turbulent childhood in England and his student years at Cambridge University. There he learned mountaineering and medicine, culminating in his selection as medical officer to the ill-fated 1971 International Expedition to Mount Everest.
Before settling down to practice medicine in the Yukon, Steele spent years travelling the world with his young family. After a life filled with adventure and challenges, including working as a flying doctor in Labrador, the retired doctor is now working on the next installment of his memoirs.
