Gail and Herbert had been dating for close to four years and they hoped that at this point, they would have already had the approval of their parents but the obstacles and twists in their relationship just kept pushing them apart. Herbert is then deceived by his parents to travel out of the country with them on a vacation for just two weeks. He refuses to go with them but then Gail (his girlfriend), encourages him to go have some time alone with his family.
Herbert then reluctantly agrees to go with his family but to his greatest dismay upon arrival, he is handed a file containing documents and details of his admission into a university were he was supposed to do his masters degree.
He is stuck as his mum is in possession of his passport and equally, he is not given direct assess to finances and whatever he needs is being provided for by his parents.
When he finally informs Gail of his parents’ decision, she is angry at herself for the role she had played in letting him go in the first place but the damage had been done and she had to live with it.
